WBL Spring Online Event
April 15 @ 7:15 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Join WBL Thursday, April 15th at 7:15pm CT for our Spring Online Event featuring Anna Threadcraft. Anna is the Lead Wellbeing Program Manager for Delta Air Lines. She will be sharing her unique perspective on Navigating Uncertain Times. In many ways, we have collectively endured a year of unexpected plot twists, disappointment and loss. Is anyone else feeling weary? Maybe fearful or unsure? Come join us for this timely conversation and encouragement about surviving and thriving through uncertain times.
Although an Alabama native, Anna began her career in Nova Scotia, Canada, as a clinical dietitian at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital. She has been a college nutrition professor, sports dietitian and private practice nutrition counselor in addition to sharing her expertise for several nationally recognized radio stations and television networks. Her diverse professional background includes international health education in Canada, Whales, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Haiti, Guatemala and Egypt where she participated in a research project focused on decreasing unusually high death rates related to colorectal cancer. After seven years in Canada, she became the first registered dietitian for Regions Bank, Alabama’s only Forbes 500 company, creating a wellness program to support their 24,000 employees located throughout 16 states. Four years later, she became the Employee Wellness Director for Alabama’s largest employer, the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Currently, she serves as Delta Air Lines’ Lead Wellbeing Program Manager. Anna strives to effectively educate and empower employees as well as community members to take realistic and sustainable steps towards healthy living. Believing that health is much more than the numbers on a scale, she endeavors to build a culture that supports a person’s mental, emotional and physical wellbeing through regular physical activity and the enjoyment of food that is both delicious and healthy.
We hope you’ll join us!
