Pray for wise leadership, a sense of the most important activities and investments of time, as we are in the midst of the busy launch of fall ministry and activities.
Community relationships.
Praise God for the opportunity in Birmingham to share about YBL/WBL and the importance of small groups at a recent business networking event hosted by BAM (Business As Mission & the ULECx market). Pray that God will continue to lead us as we follow up on the connections that event made.
Discipleship Groups and their Leaders.
Pray for our group leaders as they counsel and pray for their people. Pray that they have open ears to hear and that they ask good questions that draw out the individuals in their groups. “The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out” (Proverbs 20:5).
Special events /ministry.
Pray as Birmingham prepares to launch another special small group with Samford and 9 students in our Professional Primer Group. Pray especially for the one-night retreat on Friday Sept 20, that we will learn where this group is spiritually, and how we can minister to them this school year.
