Women Business Leaders is a non-profit ministry that looks to connect women in the marketplace for Christ. We foster relationships through small groups, mentoring, monthly meetings and one-on-one appointments.

WBL seeks to transform the marketplace by pointing women to Christ, encouraging them in their faith and helping them make a difference in their workplace and home for God’s glory.

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:31

August Griffith

August was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia but has called Birmingham home since 2012. She graduated from Samford University with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication. Upon graduation, August married her college sweetheart and served on staff with a local college ministry, Campus Outreach. Most recently, August has been working as a Business Development Manager for Warren Averett CPA’s & Advisors.

August has been involved in WBL for the past three years and has enjoyed co-leading a Small Group with her peers at Warren Averett. She is thrilled to step into this new role and support women in Birmingham as they seek to know God and glorify Him with all aspects of their lives – specifically with their work and their careers.

August lives in Bluff Park with her husband Luke and their baby boy, Calvin. Her proudest achievement of 2019 was being promoted to “Mama”.
