In our age that is swollen with technological advancements, it can almost feel maddening and certainly overwhelming to wade through all that technology has to offer, as helpful and promising as much of it may be. Even more weighty than simply wading through tech’s advancements, is the discretion required as Christians to evaluate the usefulness of the technology or the lackthereof. And, even if the technology is useful from a pragmatic standpoint, the greater virtue of discernment requires we go a step further and ask, “but is this good, is this wise?” always weighing our decisions and actions against what the Lord in His word has declared as good.

The use of AI is certainly an issue that begs these questions. And as AI models become all the more prevalent and user-friendly in ordinary settings, Christians must have a robust theological response to the many dilemmas posed by this recent and insidious technology.
