We come alongside local churches to help you live your faith every day.
We believe God created us for both work and community. You shouldn't have to navigate this journey alone, as it can lead to feelings of isolation and discouragement.
That's why, for the last 43 years, we’ve guided thousands of men in discovering their purpose in their professional lives while fostering a sense of community through our weekly discipleship groups. Together, we can build a supportive community where you can thrive in your faith and work.

Rob Genin
Rob Genin, City Director for YBL Birmingham, has 9 years of experience with us. He holds a B.S. in business management from Biola University and a Masters in Divinity from Reformed Seminary. Rob and his wife, Carla, are raising two energetic boys, Noah and Matthew. He enjoys playing with his children, spending time outdoors, watching films, and reading. Rob is excited to continue building the business community in Birmingham, one friendship at a time.

Drew joined YBL in 2022. Prior to moving to Jackson, he served in pastoral ministry for 6 years in Oxford, MS. Drew holds a B.S. from the University of Mississippi and is finishing a master’s in divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to Melody, and they have one daughter, Lily.

Chris Jones
Chris comes from a family of pastors, schoolteachers, and musicians. A Homewood, AL native and proud University of Memphis graduate, Chris has served Presbyterian churches in Memphis, TN, and Jackson, MS, and currently serves with his bride at Chelsea Presbyterian Church. He loves Jesus, his bride, his boys, coffee, Hank Williams, and Birmingham. He would rather be lying on the beach than just about anything.

Johnny spends most of his time at Samford University, where he is pursuing an MDiv. and MBA joint degree. He enjoys listening to music, watching movies with friends, and learning Polish in his free time.

Adrian VanderWoude
Adrian grew up in the Chicagoland area of Illinois, son of Christian parents. He received his BS degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. A previous business owner and CFO, he is enthused about being able to use his experience and talents to serve the Lord in the YBL, WBL, and Second Half ministry.
Adrian and his wife of 49 years, Jackie, have 3 adult married children: Lindsey, Abigail, and AJ. They have also been blessed with 9 wonderful grandchildren. They attend Briarwood PCA Church.

Abby Hawkins
Abby is originally from Nashville and came to Alabama by way of Auburn University. She graduated in 1999 and has both a son and a daughter at Auburn now. Abby has one other daughter who teaches kindergarten in Colorado Springs. When she is not at her desk or spending time with her kids, she enjoys having dinner with a friend or walking the trails at Veterans' Park.
