Be Faithful At Work, Even When It’s Not Your Dream Job

“Choose a job you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life” is a platitude- and perhaps an impossibility uttered by well-meaning but misguided Christians- that plagues far too many young adults who either haven’t figured out what type of job they would really love or have yet to land that dream job. Pining for the day when work no longer feels like work, it is far too easy for those of us in less-than-ideal positions to become discouraged not simply about our lackluster careers but about ourselves and our future. In an attempt to remedy festering dissatisfaction in a discouraged employee, this week’s article presents some practical steps on how to be faithful at work even when the job is less than desirable.
