James 1:5-8

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Pray For YBL and WBL Leadership

  • Pray for YBL & WBL Leadership, Rob, Drew, Chris, Loring, and Sharon, along with all staff- Johnny, Ansley, Adrian, and Emma.
  • Pray that we will be faithful, sensitive to the Spirit in every conversation had and every decision to be made. 

Pray For Our Community Relations

  • Pray for deeper relationships with existing sponsors and business partners.  Pray specifically as WBL prepares a mailing to be sent in June giving opportunity for sponsorships for the September Faith and Work Luncheon.  Pray for a strong response and please give thanks to those who have participated in the past.  (The stronger the response means more women in attendance and introduced to the ministry.)
  • Pray that new businesses to open their doors to host small groups in Birmingham and Jackson.
  • Pray for opportunities for YBL and WBL to share the gospel to those within our communities.
  • Pray as we submit application for grants from foundations that WBL and YBL will be received gladly and considered for and receive funding.

Pray For Our Discipleship Groups and their Leaders

  • Pray for our small group leaders to have joy while leading and to find rest this summer as a number of small groups take a break during this season.
  • Pray for a new small group that was just formed in Jackson. Pray this Bible study will become valued, and everyone involved will draw closer in fellowship to the Lord and each other.
  • Pray for the upcoming WBL leaders training on Saturday, June 28th.  Give thanks for Bronwyn Cardwell who is preparing to lead this session and for the faithful leaders who will be attending.  Pray the Holy Spirit will enable and give joy for all who attend. 

Pray for Our Special Events/Ministry

  • Pray for the upcoming YBL and WBL Summer Series. Please pray for men and women to register for the sessions and to be encouraged and strengthened by attending.
  • Pray for the upcoming 2nd Half Mentoring Seminar. Pray that this event will encourage and call members to lead others faithfully.
