About

Our Mission

WBL transforms the marketplace by pointing women to Christ, encouraging them in their faith and helping them make a difference in their workplace and home for God’s glory. We foster relationships through Small Groups, Mentoring, and Community Events. We are a community of working women supporting one another in our work and faith. Come join us!

Sharon Head

Director

[email protected]

Having been in the marketplace and in ministry for many years, Sharon knows the demands that tug at women and the roadblocks they sometimes encounter in developing a healthy, thriving relationship with the Lord. Her experiences working with Donna Greene at Community Ministry for Girls and at Beeson Divinity School as an Academic Advisor and Admission Counselor make her well-suited for helping women develop a seamless life, one in which belief and behavior are consistent and coherent. Her passion is to see women know and walk in the truths of God’s word, to know the incomparable love of Jesus Christ, and to make Him known in all their endeavors.

A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Sharon married her husband Gene in 1989. She has a genuine affection for SEC football and all things chocolate. She makes time for Pilates and long walks with friends, but her greatest joys include family time with her husband, their two delightful grown children, and one “precious beyond words” grandchild.

Emily Rosser

Administrative Assistant & Event Coordinator

[email protected]

As a young person, Emily had the opportunity to move frequently and learn how to meet new people, and integrate well into new places. She settled in Birmingham in 2019 to attend the University of North Alabama where she completed her degree in Social Work. She loves bringing others together through her home-cooked meals and baked goods. Emily hopes to use her experience overseas and working with Women Business Leaders to pursue international missions in the future.
